Inflammatory Polyneuropathy Associated with Myelodysplastic Syndrome

Inflammatory polyneuropathy may be associated with various tumorous diseases, including hematological malignancy. A 50-year-old man visited neurologic department complaining of bilateral lower extremities weakness, tingling sensation and weight loss. Initially he was diagnosed as demyelinating sensorimotor after performing the nerve conduction study, furthermore myelodysplastic syndrome revealed by hematologic tests bone marrow examination. Conclusively, high-dose steroid therapy, intravenous immunoglobulin chemotherapy improved neurological symptoms. This case suggests could uncommon cause inflammatory polyneuropathy.
